Job Description:
The Chief Operating Officer will provide visionary leadership in the development and execution of the company's strategic plans, ensuring profitability, sustainability, and growth. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, fine-tuning the supply chain process, establishing precise stock level benchmarks, formulating category-wise options plans, and ensuring the right infrastructure is in place for the company to grow and succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Work with the Board and senior management to establish long-term goals, strategies, plans, and policies. Lead the development and implementation of the company's short, medium, and long-term strategy.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily operations ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. Fine tune the supply chain process to ensure on-time delivery of merchandise.
- Financial Management: Ensure the company's fiscal activities are in line with the company's goals and objectives. Delivering on key financial metrics viz channel-wise NSV, like-to-like growth managing digital and advertisement.
- Sales & Marketing: Oversee the company's sales and marketing strategies to ensure profitability and growth. Maintain strong relationships with Large Format Stores, Franchisees, COFOs, Dealers, Building franchise networks, Build retail networks, increasing the number of retail stores.
- Fashion & Design: Analyze international fashion trends and adapt them for the Indian market based on local preferences. Arrive at the brand design template based on sell-through and market requirements.
- Human Resources: Foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, encourages individual integrity, and meets social responsibilities. Ensure proper talent management strategies are in place including hiring, training, and retention.
- Risk Management: Identify and address potential risks in the retail industry. Ensure the company's compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Relations: Act as the main point of contact between the Board of Directors and the company's operations. Overseeing all departments - Sales, E-commerce, Accounts, HR, IT, Design, Project, VM, and Retail Planning, Warehouse - while motivating the team towards the organization's objectives.
- Corporate Governance: Ensure the company fulfils its responsibilities with regard to governance practices and all necessary documentation.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in all facets of the business through lean methodologies and innovation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. Master's or other advanced degrees are advantageous. Extensive experience in a senior management role within the retail industry. Proven experience in developing and executing business strategies. Proficiency in decision-making, crisis management, and problem-solving.
