Project Accounting Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Accounting Deputy Team Lead to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will assist in overseeing project accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the development of your team members.

  • Develop, plan, and monitor project accounting activities for a group of project support professionals.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to supervise project support staff for resolving standard, difficult, and complex problems.
  • Interface with local and onshore staff, Project Managers, various Region and business leaders, in the execution of this role.
  • Support building and deploying project support teams.
  • Distribute work assignments and monitor workload to most effectively utilize staff and meet project objectives.
  • Track and communicate staffing activities to various stakeholders.
  • Assess complex project needs and associated staffing situations to both project and business unit goals.
  • Coordinate efforts of assigned resources/staff with other project and business unit staff.
  • Participate in business development, proposal efforts, and project start-ups as needed.
  • Evaluate quality of work effort of staff and advise on approach or elevate corrective actions.
  • Develop, train, and mentor staff in technical aspects of project accounting methods and support interpersonal communications.
  • Disseminate corporate expectations regarding company policy and convey procedural and best practice information.
  • Perform ad-hoc reports for the management team based on requests.
  • Solve difficult service issues escalated from staff by following company policy.
  • Replicate Project Accounting best practices across countries and ensure process documentation is continuously updated.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Recruiting and integrating new team members.
