About the RoleThis is a critical role that requires expertise in catastrophe modelling, data management, and technical skills. The successful candidate will have experience working with AIR, RMS, Impact Forecasting, and other catastrophe models. Additionally, they will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret and extrapolate complex data.
Main Responsibilities- Analyse exposure data provided as input to the risk analyses, including data quality assessment, data augmentation, and data management.
- Perform catastrophe risk analyses, review results, and prepare necessary reporting.
- Communicate results to stakeholders and support internal projects, including testing, sensitivity analyses, and impact studies.
- Support the development of tools to help automate current Cat modelling processes and collaborate with the wider Exposure Management team and Group Exposure Management function.
- CAT modelling experience with in-depth knowledge of underlying model methodologies and assumptions.
- Technical expertise working with AIR, RMS, Impact Forecasting, and other catastrophe models.
- Excellent data management skills, with the ability to manipulate, interpret, and extrapolate complex data.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive attitude with a desire to lead internal initiatives and research projects to completion.
- Strong project management skills with an ability to lead independently and prioritize workload.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Actuarial Science.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, opportunities for career growth, and a dynamic work environment.
