Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst.

  • Our ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that both purchase orders and non-purchase orders are processed in a timely manner, in line with company procedures and controls.
  • They will investigate aged payments, debit balances, and resolve queries/disputes in a prompt and professional manner.
  • The selected individual will liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain approvals and authorisation for payment.
  • They will review and check supplier master data, including opening and amending supplier accounts.
  • Responsibilities also include handling a high volume of email queries and responding within agreed time frames.
  • They will handle telephone queries in a prompt and professional manner, reconciling direct debit accounts when necessary.
  • Setting up one-off payments with the relevant banks is also a key responsibility.
  • Our ideal candidate will release approved purchase orders to the business.
  • Experience of changing and improving processes to remove manual work is essential.
  • Ensuring audit controls are strictly adhered to is crucial.
  • Preparing weekly and processing multi-currency payments for the UK and other EMEA entities is also a key responsibility.
  • Month-end accruals, analysis, and investigation are further responsibilities.
  • Reconciling the company credit card programs is also required.
  • Our ideal candidate will ensure they are up-to-date with the latest employee expense claim guidance update system.
  • Providing cover during team member absences is also a key responsibility.
  • Actively participating in projects which directly impact Accounts Payable is essential.
Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Accounts payable experience in a similar role.
  • A strong understanding of financial controls and financial systems.
  • Experience of using MS Word, Excel - pivot tables, vlookups, simple formulas.
  • Account reconciliation experience.
  • Self-motivated and flexible.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with different levels of the business.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong command of spoken and written English.
  • A team player.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Background within the finance functions of a European technology company.
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365.
  • Shared Service Centre experience.
