IT Support Specialist

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with 2 to 3 years of experience in IT support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance: Assist employees with hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Maintain systems: Help maintain computers, servers, and networking equipment.
  • Install software: Assist in installing and updating software across the company's systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues: Identify, diagnose, and resolve basic IT problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Data backup: Ensure regular data backups and contribute to the company's data security efforts.
  • Document issues: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, issues, and resolutions in a ticketing or documentation system.
  • Network support: Assist in monitoring and maintaining the company's local area network (LAN) and internet connectivity.
  • Security tasks: Support basic IT security tasks, such as ensuring antivirus updates and security patches are applied.
Requirements:
  • Education: BSc degree is mandatory.
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in IT support or administration (internships, part-time roles, or self-taught experience welcome).
  • Basic knowledge: Windows and/or Linux operating systems, Network concepts, Hardware components, Office productivity software.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude, Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with non-technical staff, Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
