Our client seeks an experienced Business Development Head specializing in petrochemicals and oil rigs sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy
  • Lead business development function for petrochemicals vertical with focus on oil rigs and exploration assets.
  • Drive M&A strategy end-to-end – target identification, due diligence, financial evaluation, negotiations, and integration.
Acquisition and Growth
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic acquisition opportunities, particularly underperforming oil rigs in India and internationally.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets in coastal regions globally.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
  • Leverage existing network and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders in global petrochemical and oil exploration sector.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams – legal, finance, technical – to execute deals smoothly.
Market Monitoring and Representation
  • Monitor and assess market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new growth avenues.
  • Represent company at international forums, trade shows, and industry conferences.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years experience in business development, M&A, or strategy in petrochemicals/oil & gas sector.
  • Proven track record of deal-making, especially with international assets or companies.
  • Deep understanding of upstream oil & gas operations, especially rig operations.
  • Strong global network in petrochemical space, especially in coastal countries with active oil rigs.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • MBA or relevant technical qualification preferred.
