Interior Components Specialist

This role is for an experienced specialist to lead the engineering design, technical development, and delivery of Interior components for new or On-going Program Development (OPD) programmes through to Launch at the manufacturing plant.

  • Deliver high-quality Interior components to meet programme milestones, ensuring integrity of the Cabin and vehicle systems.
  • Manage change requests, expenditure forecasting, and relevant supplier teams to support delivery of the programme.
  • Develop designs that meet vehicle targets, resolving compatibility with A-surfaces and surrounding component packaging.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver commodity plans to quality, cost, and time, including maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release System.
  • Own and deliver Engineering Advanced Product Quality Planning deliverables.
  • Manage design verification test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign off.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience leading business, technical, and process issues within a Project Team environment.
  • Good working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, product definition, and change management processes.
  • Able to create 2D sections and 3D geometry using CAD software.
  • Experience in using CATIA V5 & V6.
  • Good knowledge of Domain Knowledge, Parametric Modelling, BOM creation, and update.
  • Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
  • Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.

Qualifications:

  • BE/B. Tech, ME in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering.
