Job Title: Electrical Cooling Specialist

As an Electrical Cooling Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing HVAC systems tailored for electric buses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop HVAC systems for electric buses, including integration with battery thermal management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define HVAC performance requirements and constraints, especially relating to power consumption and range impact.
  • Perform thermal simulations and load calculations to optimize system design for performance and energy efficiency.
  • Develop 2D and 3D CAD models using tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Creo.
  • Select and specify HVAC components (compressors, condensers, evaporators, blowers, sensors, etc.).
  • Collaborate with suppliers on component development, validation, and integration.
  • Support system-level testing in lab and vehicle environments to validate HVAC performance, including battery cooling under various drive cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards and industry regulations (ISO, SAE, CE, etc.).
  • Create and maintain BOMs, technical drawings, and system documentation.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Should have a background in AC system design, preferably for buses.
  • Hands-on experience with AC systems and on-field experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of vehicle thermal systems, battery thermal management, and refrigeration cycles is necessary.
  • Familiarity with CAN communication, control systems, and integration with vehicle ECUs is required.
  • Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Flowtherm, GT-SUITE) is necessary.
