Purchasing Manager Job Description

The Purchasing Manager plays a critical role in the organization by overseeing procurement operations. This includes ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials, while maintaining strong relationships with vendors.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Identify alternative/new products in the market and present to management for review.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement of assigned materials, guaranteeing on-time delivery to sites.
  • Optimize inventory control through efficient lot sizing and reduced delivery lead times.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships through collaborative improvement projects.
  • Ensure effective coordination across all sites through regular visits and communication.
  • Establish and nurture professional networks within and outside the organization.
Key Requirements:
  • Expertise in construction materials and procurement processes is essential.
  • Experience in high-rise building construction is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills are necessary for success.
  • Able to analyze and improve inventory control systems.
  • Research-oriented position requiring performance monitoring and review.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in purchase and procurement.
  • Deep understanding of property market dynamics, valuation, and laws.
  • Proficiency in real estate management software and tools.
