Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • We source and procure spare parts, consumables, and technical equipment for vessels to ensure they remain operational.
  • Procurement specialists identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiating prices and ensuring high-quality products.
  • Strong relationships are built with vendors and service providers to guarantee reliable support.

Order Processing & Coordination

  • Purchase requisitions from vessels and fleet management teams are processed efficiently.
  • Orders are accurately tracked and followed up on in a timely manner.
  • Logistics and supply chain teams coordinate the delivery of goods to vessels at ports worldwide.

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Financial monitoring and control of procurement budgets is supported.
  • Cost savings opportunities without compromising on quality or safety are identified.
  • Supplier invoices are reviewed and verified, with accurate documentation for payment processing ensured.
  • Timely clearance of invoices in the system and follow-up on pending payments.

Compliance & Documentation

  • All procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, maritime regulations, and classification society requirements.
  • Accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor agreements are maintained.
  • Support is provided during audits related to procurement and inventory management.

Technical Support & Communication

  • Collaboration occurs with vessel superintendents and technical teams to understand purchasing requirements.
  • Alternative solutions are provided when specific parts or equipment are unavailable.
  • Vessels are kept updated on order status and delivery timelines.
