We are seeking an accomplished Finance Director to lead the financial strategy and operations of our organization in the recruitment sector. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in finance, proven leadership experience, and deep industry knowledge of the recruitment/staffing sector. This role requires a recognized accounting qualification, substantial post-qualification experience, and the ability to align financial planning with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Financial Leadership:
  • Develop and execute the financial strategy to support organizational goals and drive business growth.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the leadership team and stakeholders.
  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to inform decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  1. Operational Financial Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, cash flow management, and payroll.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  1. Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws, and corporate governance standards.
  • Implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  1. Cost Management:
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements within the organization.
  • Manage and monitor expenses while maintaining service quality and operational effectiveness.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on all financial matters.
  1. Business Insights:
  • Provide financial insights into pricing strategies, margin optimization, and revenue growth within the recruitment sector.
  • Analyze market trends and industry benchmarks to inform strategic decisions.
Key Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • A recognized accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is essential.
  • A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is desirable.
  • Experience:
  • Substantial post-qualification experience (10+ years) in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role is required.
  • Proven experience in the recruitment/staffing sector is mandatory.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements is necessary.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, ERP software, and advanced Excel is essential.
