Senior Automation Specialist Wanted

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled individual to fill the role of Senior Automation Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automation systems, including PLCs, Drives, CNC systems, DCS, PCS, Electrical Panels, and Instrumentation Panels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automation System Management: Oversee all activities related to automation system management, ensuring accurate and timely final costing.
  • Expert Product Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Siemens products, automation systems (PLC, Drives, CNC, DCS, PCS), electrical and instrumentation panels.
  • Independent Costing & Team Handling: Take ownership of costing tasks and deliverables while leading a team of engineers.
  • Technical Discussions & Support: Conduct technical discussions with clients, internal teams, and vendors to finalize requirements, configurations, and costs.
  • Team Coordination & Reporting: Provide regular status reports to management regarding costing, progress, and potential issues.
  • Knowledge of Automation Products & Switchgear: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in automation, electrical panels, and switchgear.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for interacting with both internal teams and external customers.
  • Cost Optimization Expertise: Ensure precise and competitive costing for automation projects.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Siemens automation products and systems.
  • Proficiency in panel costing and project costing.
  • Experience with PLC, Drives, DCS, PCS, and instrumentation panels.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team.
  • Excellent technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle technical discussions and negotiations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Candidate should be proactive, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience in automation product costing is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on MS Excel. If have experience in SIEPAN or SIECOST software would be more preferable.

Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation engineering and 6-7 years of experience.
