Senior Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain monitoring tools and dashboards for system health, performance, and capacity planning to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts for repetitive tasks, including deployments, scaling, and maintenance to reduce manual intervention and increase efficiency.
  • Respond to incidents, lead post-incident analysis, and drive efforts to prevent recurrences through detailed root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in infrastructure, databases, applications, and networking to optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design systems that are highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and optimized for performance and cost to meet business objectives.
  • Build and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate deployments and improve delivery cycles, reducing time-to-market.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure systems are resilient and capable of fast recovery in case of emergencies.
  • Monitor and forecast resource utilization and implement cost-effective scaling strategies to optimize resource allocation.
  • Ensure all systems meet or exceed security and compliance requirements to protect sensitive data and maintain regulatory adherence.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps, or Infrastructure role with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python, NodeJS, Bash, etc.) with hands-on experience in AWS cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to manage infrastructure as code.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems, diagnose issues, and drive improvements.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as New relic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog, or equivalent to ensure system visibility.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Code Pipeline, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or equivalent to automate deployments and improve delivery cycles.
  • Version control experience with Git and version control best practices to ensure code integrity.
  • Containerization and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes to optimize deployment and scaling.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, load balancing, VPNs, and firewalls to ensure secure communication.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams with excellent communication skills to share knowledge and drive results.
