Job Title: Test Manager

The Test Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire testing strategy, planning, and execution for core banking implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Comprehensive Testing Strategy: Create a thorough testing plan to ensure high-quality solutions are delivered within project timelines and budgets.
  • Lead Testing Teams: Manage onsite and offshore testing teams across different test phases, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and Performance Testing.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business, development, and project stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
  • Review and Approve Test Plans: Validate business requirements and system design by reviewing and approving test plans, test cases, and scenarios.
  • Ensure Effective Defect Management: Effectively manage defects, conducting root cause analysis and closure within agreed timelines.
  • Provide Test Progress Reporting: Report test progress, highlighting risks, issues, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Adhere to SDLC, QA processes, compliance standards, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee Integration Testing: Ensure smooth integration testing with third-party systems, APIs, microservices, and batch processes.
  • Support Banking Operations: Support banking operations teams during mock runs, business simulation, and production cutover testing.
  • Mentor Testing Team: Guide and mentor the testing team, ensuring capability building and effective resource utilization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in IT Testing, including at least 6–8 years in core banking testing projects.
  • Core Banking Knowledge: Strong knowledge of banking operations and modules such as Core Banking, Payments, Loans, Trade Finance, and General Ledger.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, APIs, REST APIs, microservices, and batch processing. Familiarity with automation tools (Selenium, Postman, JMeter, or similar) for functional and performance testing.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills with proven ability to deliver within tight deadlines.
