System Reliability Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Vice President Site Reliability Engineer to drive our system reliability strategy and promote an "Automate-first" culture in operating services.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in defining, driving, and implementing system reliability strategies, developing methodologies for identifying and eliminating toil-heavy processes, and working with engineering teams to develop service metrics and improve operational efficiency.

A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required. Practical experience with Service Level Objectives, monitoring and observability technologies, and cloud platforms is also essential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of technical systems, analytical skills, and a solid grasp of production support processes. They will also have experience with modern observability tooling, Infrastructure as Code principles, and Configuration Management Solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Help define, drive, and implement the SRE strategy
  • Promote an "Automate-first" culture in operating services through reduction of toil
  • Develop methodologies for identification and elimination of toil-heavy processes
  • Assist in developing engineering and operational service metrics with actionable plans
  • Work with all parties to develop and implement SLOs for critical services
  • Define monitoring strategy with Engineering and implement appropriate capabilities
  • Design and implement reliability improvements
  • Conduct capacity planning
  • Perform chaos engineering exercises
  • Lead architectural reviews for reliability
  • Drive continuous improvement from incidents
