Compliance Operations Specialist

Job Description:

The Compliance Operations Specialist will play a key role in supporting the compliance operations of our client, a well-established European digital platform that operates under government license. This specialist will be responsible for reviewing and investigating customer activity to identify potential fraud, money laundering, and other risks.

This operational role is suited for someone who enjoys detailed, investigative work and wants to develop expertise in financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate alerts and cases related to suspicious activity, fraud, and KYC.
  • Conduct customer due diligence and ongoing transaction monitoring.
  • Apply and help refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistency and accuracy.
  • Manage and prioritize a queue of compliance tasks and escalations.
  • Contribute to reports and provide insights on trends and patterns in the data.
  • Identify and suggest opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness in our processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree.
  • 0 to 4 years of relevant experience in compliance, risk, fraud, or a related field. We are open to training strong candidates with less experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Proficiency with standard office tools like Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts to provide 24/7 coverage.
