**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Director to lead our technical program in India. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, data analytics, or business intelligence development, along with 3-5 years of project/program management experience working directly with data and analytics technical teams.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate the work of multiple scrum teams to deliver business value and execute on their roadmap with discipline and high velocity.
  • Partner with product owners to ensure the team understands the work they are accountable for delivering and the value to the organization.
  • Work with engineering leads to explore tradeoffs of various solution options, align on solution architecture, and break down the engineering work needed to deliver.
  • Create believable and achievable plans based on engineering work and dependencies that generate confidence that the team can deliver to committed dates.
  • Successfully ship features on time and under budget, anticipating blockers and proactively working with your team, partners, and leaders to create visibility and remove them.
  • Act as the scrum master for your team, owning Agile planning, standups, demos, retrospectives, and sprint execution.
  • Evaluate solutions/software built against agreed SDLC process artifacts and ensure required artifacts are produced and tracked in a timely manner.
  • Maintain technical debt in check and promote modern practices and tools within the development community.
  • Cultivate operational excellence within your teams, prioritizing timely resolution of identified production defects and understanding SLAs and system performance in relation to them.
  • Operate effectively in ambiguous environments with a high degree of ownership, customer obsession, and bias for action while maintaining high standards for yourself and others.
  • Communicate clearly upward and outward verbally and in writing.
  • Pursue continuous learning opportunities in business models, engineering practices, or data technology platforms.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (preferably computer science) or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering, data engineering, data analytics, or business intelligence development experience, in addition to 3-5 years of project/program management experience working directly with data and analytics technical teams.
  • Strong experience in planning, estimating, and execution using lean-agile techniques, with knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
  • Understanding of one or more data and cloud platforms, including Big Data/Hadoop/Spark, Data Warehouse, Data Lakes, Tableau, data ingestion tools like Abnitio, and cloud technologies like Snowflake, AWS, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience working with technical management teams.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with multi-tasking capabilities to succeed in an ambiguous fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to motivate and drive collaborative effort to reach challenging goals.
  • Interpersonal skills, including relationship building within a diverse, cross-functional team.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use hard data and metrics to support assumptions and recommendations.

**Estimated Salary:** ₹1200000 - ₹1800000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
