Network Security Engineer Role Overview
  • This position entails delivering Level 2 operational support across various security platforms, firewalls, and network access controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support: Provide assistance in managing network security operations, focusing on firewall management, cloud security platforms, Zero Trust solutions, and network access control enforcement.
  • Firewall Configuration: Configure and maintain Palo Alto and Fortigate firewalls under the direction of senior engineers or architects.
  • Security Platform Monitoring: Monitor and manage Zscaler ZIA ZPA platforms, perform health checks, and handle escalated issues.
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) Deployment: Assist with the deployment, policy configuration, and management of ZTNA solutions.
  • Cloud Security: Perform routine monitoring and tuning of Cloudflare WAF or similar web application firewalls.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with senior engineers during incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Threat Analysis: Conduct initial threat analysis, log review, and attack surface assessments.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Maintain and update technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Industry-Standard Practices: Follow and promote industry-standard Information Security Best Practices in daily operations.
