Lead Software Engineering Platform

Spectral Consultants is hiring a top-notch professional for the role of Lead Software Engineering Platform. As Vice President, you will spearhead the development and operation of a scalable, reliable SaaS platform.

The ideal candidate will possess 20+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on SaaS platform/product development. Strong leadership skills, including managing teams of 100+ engineers across diverse skill sets, are essential. The successful candidate will also have expertise in cloud-native architectures, containers, APIs, Infrastructure-as-Code, and serverless computing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute a strategic platform engineering roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Lead global R&D initiatives and product transformations to drive innovation and growth.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing engineering team.
  • Oversee the development and operations of a scalable, reliable SaaS platform.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
  • Making technical decisions that balance engineering, business, and customer needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in performance, scalability, stability, and security.
  • Champion Agile methodologies and foster a data-driven engineering culture.
  • Represent engineering to senior stakeholders and report on progress and challenges.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 20+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on SaaS platform/product development.
  • Proven leadership skills, including managing teams of 100+ engineers across diverse skill sets.
  • Expertise in cloud-native architectures, containers, APIs, Infrastructure-as-Code, and serverless computing.
  • Strong understanding of software and infrastructure cost management.
  • Technical skills: Java, .NET, AWS, RedHat, ETL tools, front-end technologies; familiarity with Github Copilot and Jira.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and building engineering talent pipelines.
