The Role: Senior Backend Developer - Java

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services using Java.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Java.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) to design efficient schemas and manage data flow.
  • Implement security best practices to protect sensitive financial data.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve backend architecture.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of Java experience.
  • Strong programming knowledge in java 8 and above.
  • Experience in software application development using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
  • Experience in using distributed caching solutions like Redis, Memcached, or HazelCast.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
  • Ability to write well-designed, testable, efficient, secure code.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture, standard queueing mechanisms, and caching mechanisms.
  • Understanding of system design and database schema design.
  • Proactive attitude towards identifying problems and continuous improvement.
  • Team player with ability to work with different multicultural teams.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git.
