Senior Linux Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Linux Administrator to fill this critical role.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Administer LVM concepts, including FS creation, extension, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement multipath concepts, validating multipath, adding LUNs, and enabling multipath.
  • Ensure that system performance specifications are consistently met.
  • Evaluate and correct OS vulnerabilities through regular patching.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware and OS-level issues.
  • Optimize log rotation and manage file system usage, modifying permissions and ownership as needed.
  • Implement changes according to application team and DB team requirements at the OS level.
  • Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and company processes while performing BAU tasks.
  • Manage services such as NTP, SSH, and AUTOFS.
  • Resolve server access and bootable issues, including grub repairs.
  • Troubleshoot OS-level issues to bring servers online efficiently.
  • OS migration is an added advantage.
