Job Overview:

The role of a Senior Biostatistician is to provide leadership and expertise in statistical methodology for clinical research studies. This involves supervising and directing the work of junior statisticians, SAS programmers, and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead biostatisticians on study projects, develop analysis plans, and statistical programs.
  • Provide expert consultation on statistical methodology for projects across the organization.
  • Solve complex statistical problems and provide technical review of proposed statistical designs.
  • Stay up-to-date with current statistical and medical literature to ensure sound methodologies are adopted.
  • Ensure the scientific integrity of research projects and accuracy of reported results.
  • Develop study assignment allocation schemas and lead the development of methods and results sections of clinical study reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, or PhD in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of related experience with MS or 1 year of related experience with PhD is expected but not required.
  • Experience with methodological statistical research, including publication and/or presentation of work in statistical methods development.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with statistical methods and applications in clinical research.
  • Strong programming skills in SAS and/or R, expertise in state-of-the-art data manipulation and statistical methodology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
