Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled database professional to lead the migration of Oracle databases to PostgreSQL.

This is a unique opportunity to utilize your expertise in both Oracle and PostgreSQL, as well as your proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and PostgreSQL procedural languages.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data migration, ETL, or database transformation tools, and a strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing existing Oracle database structures, schemas, and data for migration, planning and executing migration to PostgreSQL while ensuring data accuracy and integrity, optimizing PostgreSQL performance post-migration, developing scripts, stored procedures, and database objects as needed, and troubleshooting migration issues and providing timely resolution.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and PostgreSQL procedural languages.
  • Experience with data migration, ETL, or database transformation tools.
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions.
  • Familiarity with tools like ora2pg or other migration utilities.
