
Technical System Administrator

As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for maintaining office systems and ensuring smooth functioning with minimal downtime. Troubleshooting system issues, including networking, virus, booting, and software problems is an essential part of this role.
You will take regular backups of projects, Outlook mails, downloaded software, and other critical data to prevent loss in case of any issue. Monitoring internet usage and alerting when usage approaches maximum limits is also crucial.
The role requires you to maintain clear records of backup DVDs and distribute them to concerned teams as needed. Ensuring data security and confidentiality by blocking potential data theft mediums within office premises is a key responsibility.
Managing and troubleshooting printers, scanners, EPBX, and fax machines is another important task. Taking monthly backups of websites and capturing video from handycams to system using video capture cards are also expected.
Additionally, you will be responsible for downloading and installing required software and plug-ins for the development team after approvals. Maintaining software installers, antivirus software, and other downloaded programs is necessary.
Creating and configuring email accounts for team members after necessary approvals and managing FTP usernames and passwords for various CMPT and client domains is also required.
Interacting with vendors to procure blank CDs/DVDs, RAM, hard disks, software, etc. and performing regular system maintenance including defragmentation and clearing temporary files is essential.
Ensuring only approved software is installed on systems; removing unwanted software is necessary. Updating the Activity Manager regularly and taking monthly backups is also crucial.
Monitoring development team activities via remote desktop and reporting suspicious actions to management is another key responsibility. Writing CDs/DVDs for project deliveries and testing their functionality before delivery is also expected.
Learning and implementing new tools and technologies to boost productivity is highly encouraged. Fixing projectors and laptops for client meetings and events is also required.
Required Skills and Qualifications">Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role. Excellent telephone manners and commitment to customer service are also necessary.
Ability to clearly document procedures and interact professionally with clients and colleagues at all levels is required. Flexibility to undertake varied tasks and adapt to changing work patterns is essential.
