Purchasing Manager

Description of the Role:
  • We are seeking a seasoned purchasing professional to oversee end-to-end procurement of electrical products. This position requires a strong understanding of vendor management, negotiation, and technical knowledge of electrical materials.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and evaluating vendors for electrical products, including cables, switchgears, and panels. They will also be expected to prepare price comparison sheets, negotiate prices, credit terms, and delivery schedules.

The role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Source and evaluate vendors for electrical products, ensuring quality assurance through regular audits.
  2. Float RFQs, create price comparison sheets, and engage in effective negotiations with vendors to secure best pricing and terms.
  3. Analyze SLDs and BOQs to guarantee that purchases align with project requirements.
  4. Manage vendor lists, develop new suppliers, and maintain accurate procurement records (quotations, POs, payments, approvals).
  5. Collaborate with logistics teams to facilitate dispatches, tracking, and resolving any delays or discrepancies.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in procurement within an electrical trading company.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
