Bell Captain Job Description

As a Bell Captain at AccorHotel, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for our guests. Your primary role will be to manage the bell desk, ensuring that it is organized and clean at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth and efficient baggage handling for all arrival and departure guests.
  • Maintain close relationships with reception, information, and cashier departments.
  • Attend to all guest calls for Bell stand/Door Services related services.
  • Delegate bell boys to pick up baggage from guest rooms.
  • Follow up on guest requests to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Check inventory of items on loan and collect them before checkout.
  • Record and update luggage movement register daily.
  • Distribute guest and departmental letters and couriers accurately.
  • Ensure all bills are paid and room keys returned before guests depart.
  • Coordinate hotel shuttle bus service and airport transfers.
  • Order newspapers for the next day and monitor their delivery.
  • Observe safety and security rules at all times.
  • Alert management of unattended packages and strangers on the premises.
  • Check daily arrival list for VVIPs or guests with functional needs.
  • Prepare for group movements and ensure sufficient staffing.
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally, anticipating their needs.
  • Recognize returning and VIP guests and welcome them back.
  • Assist guest service team in escorting guests to and from accommodations.
  • Inform guests about hotel and guest room features, facilities, and emergency procedures.
  • Assist guests with luggage and acknowledge them by name.
  • Make deliveries to guest rooms as instructed.
  • Store and retrieve luggage and other objects for guests.
  • Be aware of daily hotel activities and group/VIP arrivals.
  • Communicate special guest requests to the Assistant Front Office Manager/Manager on Duty.
  • Ensure lobby bell closet and work areas are clean and presentable.
  • Assist security team in scanning guest luggage.
  • Offer assistance to guests at all times.
  • Provide an efficient luggage storage, delivery, and collection service.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of hotel fire procedures.
  • Knowledge of hotel security procedures.
