Job Description:

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned cloud migration engineer to join our team and help us drive innovation in the financial technology space. As a cloud migration engineer, you will be responsible for leading the migration of complex applications from on-premises infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring seamless integration with GCP services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and adapt current applications for Google Cloud
  • Modify database integration for Cloud SQL and AlloyDB
  • Evaluate and integrate JMS 2.0-compliant messaging services
  • Migrate Kafka to Confluent Cloud on GCP or self-managed Kafka
  • Map AWS-specific services to GCP equivalents
  • Collaborate with DevOps tech lead to align app-level changes with GCP infrastructure and security

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8-12 years of overall experience with at least 3+ years in GCP application migration/development
  • Strong expertise in Java/JEE, Spring Boot, JMS 2.0, Kafka
  • Proven experience integrating applications with Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, and JDBC migrations
  • Understanding of Google Cloud services (Pub/Sub, Secret Manager, GKE)
  • Experience in AWS → GCP migrations preferred
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes-native application deployments
  • Certifications: Google Professional Cloud Architect (preferred), Google Professional Cloud Developer (plus)
