**Cloud Migration Expert**

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Migration Expert to lead the migration of our applications from AWS/Azure to Google Cloud Platform. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud computing and experience in migrating complex applications to GCP.

About the Role

The Cloud Migration Expert will be responsible for assessing the current application architecture and identifying areas for improvement. They will then develop and implement a migration plan that minimizes disruption to existing services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and adapt the current application architecture for Google Cloud.
  • Modify database integration for Cloud SQL/AlloyDB and Oracle on Bare Metal Solution or GCE.
  • Evaluate and integrate a JMS 2.0-compliant messaging service (ActiveMQ on GKE, Solace, etc.).
  • Ensure Kafka migration to Confluent Cloud on GCP or self-managed Kafka with minimal code change.
  • Map AWS-specific services (e.g., S3, KMS) to GCP equivalents with minimal application impact.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps tech lead to align app-level changes with GCP infrastructure and security.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8-12 years of overall experience with at least 3+ years in GCP application migration/development.
  • Strong expertise in Java/JEE, Spring Boot, JMS 2.0, Kafka.
  • Proven experience integrating applications with Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, and JDBC migrations.
  • Understanding of Google Cloud services (Pub/Sub, Secret Manager, GKE).
  • Experience in AWS → GCP migrations preferred.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes-native application deployments.
  • Certifications: Google Professional Cloud Architect (preferred), Google Professional Cloud Developer (plus).
