Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong background in designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), infrastructure as code (IaC), cloud security best practices, and cloud migration strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, EBS, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
  • Architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native and hybrid solutions.
  • Automate cloud operations using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Lead and support cloud migration initiatives from on-prem to AWS.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and reliability using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus / Grafana.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and implement best practices (IAM, encryption, patching, auditing).
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Application, and Infrastructure teams to streamline cloud adoption.
  • Participate in cost optimization, cloud resource management, and usage reporting.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help establish cloud engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, with 3+ years in AWS.
  • Strong expertise in AWS core services, including EC2, VPC, ELB, RDS, IAM, S3, Lambda.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker, ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of networking, DNS, firewalls, VPN, and NAT gateways in cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with serverless architecture and event-driven design patterns.
  • Exposure to monitoring and logging frameworks (e.g., ELK, Datadog, Splunk).
  • Hands-on experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
