Order Management Specialist Job Description

The primary responsibility of an Order Management Specialist is to ensure seamless order processing from receipt to delivery.

  • Process and verify purchase orders from end-users, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Retrieve and process orders from partner portals, coordinating with cross-functional teams as necessary.
  • Verify pricing against customer contracts or approved discount matrices to prevent revenue discrepancies.
  • Ensure product availability and communicate with purchasing teams to determine lead times when supply is limited.
  • Exercise discretion to prioritize product allocations during supply constraints.

Key responsibilities also include providing inside sales support, answering customer inquiries regarding order status and product availability, troubleshooting issues in a timely manner, and reviewing the backlog to ensure compliance with company booking policies.

To excel in this role, you must possess excellent time management skills, work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and maintain strong attention to detail.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Credit and Collections, is essential to deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of account management and customer service principles.
  • 4+ years of experience in a high-tech environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
