Job Title: ETL Tester

Description:

We are seeking an experienced ETL tester to join our team. As an ETL tester, you will be responsible for testing and validating the integrity of data flows in a large-scale enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding requirements from high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) documents
  • Understanding Hadoop/mainframe ETL flow and preparing development and user acceptance test environments in Teradata/Unix/Hadoop
  • Estimating space and allocating space to Teradata databases in system integration test/user acceptance test environments
  • Forklifting seed data from production to test environments using Teradata utilities
  • Creating forklift jobs in mainframe to forklift production data to mainframe files using Fast-Export Utility and NDM copying data files to lower lanes in mainframe
  • Setting up ETL jobs in regression efforts and executing flow execution in Autosys and mainframe
  • Analyzing tasks and assigning them to team members on a daily basis, participating actively in defect review meetings
  • Preparing test cases with the help of test plans and reviewing them with development teams
  • Creating effective SQL scripts to validate change data capture logic in Teradata
  • Creating automation script modules in Tosca to execute regression scripts and upload results to Qtest/QC

  • Data engineering projects in testing capacity/ETL knowledge
  • Kafka
  • Banking experience
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Analytical skills
  • Visual Studio/C#/Java
  • Good understanding of Data Governance concepts
  • Knowledge of data architectures, data warehousing, datalake
