Strategic Planning and Development Leader

Epsilon is a leading industrial conglomerate driving the global carbon black and battery materials industry with a vision to decarbonize economies and support cleaner technologies.

The company has carved a niche for itself through its subsidiaries, Epsilon Carbon and Epsilon Advanced Materials.

Epsilon Carbon operates India's first fully integrated carbon facility in Bellary, Karnataka, specializing in carbon black and specialized carbon derivatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in strategic planning and development, project management, market analysis, and innovation. They will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's strategic plan, overseeing project execution, and fostering a culture of innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing & Implementing Strategic Plans: Align business objectives with market trends and competitor activities.
  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Innovation & Growth Initiatives: Foster a culture of innovation within the organization to drive growth.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and build support for strategic initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong Analytical & Critical Thinking Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Financial Modeling & Business Case Creation: Expertise in creating financial models and business cases.
  • Excellent Communication & Presentation Skills: Ability to convey insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to navigate and deliver results in ambiguous and fast-changing business environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BE | BTech in Chemical Engineering: Degree in chemical engineering or related field.
  • MBA from a Tier-1 Institute: MBA degree from a top-tier institute.
  • 15-17 Years of Experience: 15-17 years of experience in strategic roles within the chemical or allied sectors.
  • Prior Exposure to Business Development: Prior experience in business development, corporate planning, or strategy consulting.
