Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to research companies, qualify and mature leads, and engage prospects to organize meetings with Sales and Account Managers.

This role involves gathering market intelligence and researching customer and prospect accounts through public and private data sources.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Gathering market intelligence and researching customer and prospect accounts through public and private data sources.
  • Qualifying and scoring inbound leads to identify and prioritize key companies and personas for maximum campaign effectiveness.
  • Monitoring public information sources to augment accounts, leads, and opportunities with data to enhance prospecting effectiveness.
  • Developing personalized strategies for engaging prospects using email, social media, and other channels to increase engagement rates.
  • FOLLOWING UP ON MARKETING CAMPAIGNS TO CREATE AND MAINTAIN ACCOUNT INTELLIGENCE BRIEFS FOR SALES AND ACCOUNT MANAGERS.
  • Leveraging teammates to develop targeted lists, call and email strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities and prospecting activities.
  • Working with partners to enrich, cleanse, and triage account data.
  • Engaging with functions to understand business priorities.
  • Documenting activity in Salesforce and reporting qualitative and quantitative results on a weekly basis.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years experience in Business Development or similar roles.
  • Ability to effectively research, qualify, and react to leads and business opportunities.
  • BA/BS or equivalent graduation education.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Precise, professional communication style through both written and verbal channels.
  • Professional, empathetic manner capable of managing time and prioritizing tasks effectively with autonomy.
  • Proven experience working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced international start-up environment.
