Project Development Manager

The Director of Projects oversees the planning, development and execution of construction projects on campus. This role ensures timely completion, quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead project management and delivery.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules and resource plans.
- Oversee project design review, procurement, contractor selection and contract negotiations.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor project progress, quality control and budget adherence.
- Manage and mentor project managers and support staff.
- Ensure sustainable building practices and energy efficiency considerations.
- Collaborate with departments to align construction projects with academic and operational needs.
- Serve as a key advisor to university leadership on construction and capital project matters.
- Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field.
- Minimum 18+ years of experience in construction project management.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, contract management and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency with project management software and tools.
