Chief Compliance Officer

The primary goal is to oversee the HR compliance of HO ZO Stores WH Factories at ABFRL level, ensuring statutory and labour compliance through coordination with the ABFRL HR Legal Team and other functions.

Liaisoning with required statutory authorities as directed. This role serves as an advisory body for compliances of HO ZO Stores WH Factories.

Responding to various notices from authorities ensures closure of gaps. An audit of principle employer and other vendors on statutory compliance is conducted.

Publishing analytics and risk management reports. HR due diligence and onboarding of new businesses of ABFRL are undertaken.

• This role is responsible for verifying that all ABFRL compliance operations and transactions adhere to relevant legal and internal rules.
• Maintaining all employees' statutory compliance data for future audit purposes is a priority.

Compliance strategy and execution at ABFRL level are guided by this role. Policies and schemes are strategized and executed to satisfy compliance demands.

Sound internal controls are created and monitored for adherence.

Collaboration occurs with external auditors and HR when needed. Understanding compliance practice at ABFRL level, associated scopes driven, and alignment to business are prioritized, driving process evolution.

Plans are set to manage crises or compliance violations. Statutory laws affecting Indian Payroll viz PF ESIC PT LWF Minimum Wages Shop Act etc. are managed.

Collaboration and enforcement of standards and regulations occur. Possible HR compliance risks are identified and mitigated.

Staying abreast of regulatory developments within or outside the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control is essential.

Employee Benefits Compliance Knowledge Communication Circulating information to educate employees on Labour Laws and new codes Updating the recent amendments in terms of labour laws and sharing with employees.

Communicating with HR function leaders CHRO VP of HR etc to keep other executives up to speed on potential HR compliance risks and recommended remediation.

Training on Statutory and Compliance domain Designing compliance policies and procedures by aligning with business and with government regulatory requirements occurs.

Provident Fund and Employee State Insurance Corporation Managing the records of New Joiners profile creation and PF member ID allocation Monthly challan payments Verifying all statutory compliance related documents of new joinees and ensuring timely submission.

Creation of new joinees profile on PF and ESIC portal and updating mandatory KYC before remittance Validating the reports received post payroll for each of the employees and highlight the difference if any Post correcting the difference send the report to third party and generate the challan within the TAT Ensure remittances two days prior to due date.

Professional Tax PT Handling PAN India stores PT and LWF compliance and ensuring timely registration for all applicable stores filling monthly and periodical returns and remittance Coordination with labour authority to close notices SPOC for Notices response Validation of employee PT deductions.

Labour Welfare Fund LWF Processing and maintain records of PAN India Half yearly and Yearly challan payments SPOC for Notices response Validation of employee LWF deductions.

HR DD for New Business subsidiaries of ABFRL M A related work including due diligence New Business set-up and compliance alignments Onboarding Integration of New Businesses.

Data Management Preparing monthly and periodical returns and registers and producing the same for internal and external audit Filling online and off line returns and remittance on or before due date to various departments Creating MIS for reporting to Senior Management Prepare and submit monthly quarterly and annual payroll compliance dashboards and reports and statements to appropriate internal stakeholders as required.

Advisory to all Businesses for compliance Factory Store compliance governance ABFRL representative for discussing point of view on Compliances with ABG Compliance SPOC Compliances Internal audit framework set up frame and period reviews for process gap analysis and corrective actions Checklist for compliances set up and execution at ABFRL level Analysis of Critical compliance issues for prevention and corrective actions.

External stakeholder and outsourced services vendor management Identify and empanel suitable consultants Monitor and track the performance of external partners Develop and build an effective network through industry contacts association memberships and staff members.
