STEM Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Professional to join our team and play a key role in teaching high-quality workshops and courses to teachers in STEM subjects. As part of this position, you will be responsible for developing and delivering educational programs that cater to the needs of teachers and students.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop capacity building program plans in STEM subjects and contribute to the preparation of the academic calendar.
• Collaborate with other subject teams to plan and execute STEM programs.
• Analyze feedback from training programs and incorporate it into subsequent trainings.
• Provide strategic direction for the STEM program aligned with current educational policies and guidelines.
• Create detailed program frameworks, teaching plans, and workshop modules based on relevant national and international reference material.
• Design and develop program materials for short-term and intensive courses.
• Enhance the Resource Centre by developing subject-specific resource materials including teacher manuals, interactive models, TLM, reference material, assessment tools, etc.
• Regularly update developed resources based on action research, primary or secondary research, or academic reading and writing.
• Develop research-based specialized content and instructions to achieve workshop goals and objectives.
• Conduct training need assessments, baseline, and end-line assessments to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Conceptualize, design, and conduct research/s on regular basis to explore the latest methodologies, resources, and approaches in education and expertise areas.
• Provide on-site support to selected teachers in schools and engage intensively with cohorts of teachers to understand factors required for effective change in teaching practices.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3-6 years of relevant experience in capacity-building programs in Teacher Education.
• M.Sc. (Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry), B.Ed or an equivalent degree.
