About Our Financial Leadership Role

This leadership position is crucial in safeguarding our company's treasury as we navigate rapid growth from $5M to $50M in Annual Recurring Revenue over the next couple of years. To establish a strong foundation for expansion, we need to maintain the highest level of financial discipline from inception.

As our most senior finance hire, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and day-to-day management. This entails collaborating closely with the CEO, executive team, and investors to develop and execute strategic financial plans that drive growth and profitability.

  • We expect you to own and execute all financial operations like payroll processing, vendor payments, and accounts receivable collections.
  • You will oversee and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including Provident Fund (PF), Professional Tax (PT), and Goods and Services Tax (GST).
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support our strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to provide accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Oversee cash management, monitoring cash flow and optimising working capital.
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and auditors.
  • Support fundraising efforts by developing investor presentations and financial projections.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Drive operational efficiency by monitoring costing activities and identifying cost-saving initiatives.
  • Oversee completion of audits from a reputable audit firm.
Key Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in finance controllership, accounting, or a related field.
  • BUILDING THE FINANCE FUNCTION FROM GROUND UP FOR A SCALING SAAS COMPANY IS YOUR STRENGTH.
  • You are adaptable and open to being a generalist, capable of adapting to the uncertainty of early-stage companies.
  • You possess in-depth knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prior experience working in SaaS accounting is an added advantage.
