Job Summary:

The Microsoft Teams Rooms Administrator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless virtual meeting experiences for the organization. This role involves the remote setup, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Teams Rooms devices and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Device Management: Install and configure Microsoft Teams Rooms devices, including cameras, microphones, speakers, touch controls/pans and displays, to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Policy Enforcement: Implement and manage policies for Teams Rooms devices to ensure compliance with company standards and security protocols.
  • System Updates: Regularly update Teams Rooms devices with the latest software and security patches to maintain a secure and up-to-date environment.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide remote support to resolve any technical issues with Teams Rooms devices, escalating complex problems to appropriate teams or vendors as needed.
  • Room Management: Monitor the health and usage of Teams Rooms, performing regular checks and maintenance routines to ensure optimal performance.
  • User Support: Assist users with the operation of Teams Rooms equipment and provide user training when necessary, promoting self-sufficiency and confidence in using the technology.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT and facilities teams to improve the Teams Rooms experience for all users, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of device configurations, updates, and support activities to ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Teams Rooms administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Teams technology and infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in Microsoft Teams or related technologies.
  • Experience with remote management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure and security protocols.
