About the Role

Certainly, you will be part of a world leader in developing quantitative techniques and technological solutions that solve complex and commercial business problems. Our Corporate Treasury Engineering team is known for managing the firm's liquidity risk, secured and unsecured funding programs, and the level and composition of consolidated and subsidiary equity capital. You will be responsible for defining, developing software to analyze data, building metric calculators, automated tools to help business get insights into data, predict scenarios and perform better decision-making to reduce interest expenses for the firm.

Responsibilities

  • You will be understanding the data consumed in the calculators and identify gaps, uplift, and consolidation opportunities.
  • You will work with multiple data providers to identify authorized sources of data and create logical data models to provide an equivalent view of data.
  • You will collaborate extensively with Engineering and Product teams to support functional use-cases and take data-driven decisions to build and enhance the platform.
  • Experience with building robust data pipelines and reporting tools is a must.
  • Someone with a strong application development background with keen interest in data engineering would be considered.

Requirements

  • BS or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience in data processing & software engineering and can build high-quality, scalable data-oriented products
  • Experience on distributed data technologies (Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, EMR, for building efficient, large-scale data pipelines)
  • Strong Software Engineering experience with in-depth understanding of Python, Scala, Java or equivalent
  • Experience with building workflows (ETL pipelines)
  • Experience with SQL and optimizing queries
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – demonstrated ability to learn technologies and apply.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a team.
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience
