As a seasoned engineering leader, you will be responsible for spearheading a high-performing team of software engineers based out of Bengaluru. Your primary goal will be to drive technical excellence and deliver high-impact outcomes by co-defining the technical vision and strategy for your domain.

You will inspire and lead your team through day-to-day coaching, mentoring, and professional development. Additionally, you will own delivery excellence by driving execution and collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspiring and leading a high-performing team of 8–10 engineers
  • Codifying the technical vision and strategy for your domain
  • Ensuring the platform is secure, resilient, and scalable
  • Designing and building robust, cloud-agnostic, distributed systems
  • Accelerating innovation by integrating AI/ML capabilities across demand forecasting, recommendation engines, and real-time decisioning

The ideal candidate will possess 8+ years in software engineering with a focus on building distributed, cloud-native systems, as well as 3+ years of engineering leadership experience managing teams of 8+ engineers. You should also have a proven track record of scaling platforms to support high RPS with 99.99%+ uptime and expertise in cloud-native tools and infrastructure such as Kubernetes, Istio, and Terraform.

Besides having a strong technical background, you will also need excellent project and delivery management capabilities, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. Proficiency in one or more backend stacks (Java, Python, Go, .Net) is required, along with hands-on experience designing and building microservices and event-driven architectures.
