Job Description

The Vendor Manager will be an integral part of the Global Vendor Management (VM) team within Business Information and Analytics (BIA). The successful candidate will provide support and assistance in all areas of third-party information resource acquisition and management, including:

  • Publications & Subscriptions
  • Contracts Management
  • Databases/Entitlements
  • Ad-hoc Purchases

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with subscription agreement terms and conditions
  • Serve as the single point of contact for communication, feedback, issue resolution, and changes to requirements
  • Analyze team performance, propose improvements, and execute enhancements to achieve desired outputs in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with global VM teams to increase efficiency and consistency
  • Ensure team adherence to Service-Level Agreement metrics
  • Timely execution of subscription and entitlement requests from clients
  • Accurate billing to cost centers, job numbers, and employees
  • Oversight and contribution to maintaining accurate contract documentation
  • Accurate and timely capture of user inventory and costs within Inventory and Expense Management database
  • Coordinate vendor login creation for client access to third-party information resources
  • End-to-end processing of invoices
  • Liaise with BIA Sourcing on upcoming renewals and new contracts
  • Awareness of IP law and understanding its impact on Vendor Management
  • Special assignments from senior management
  • Maintenance of current Vendor Management team policy and procedures documentation
  • Mentorship, team building activities, and employee morale boosters
  • Performance reviews, goal setting, and professional development programs
  • General administrative tasks, such as time-off and coverage management
Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must have:

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree with at least 5+ years of experience in similar roles, preferably in Financial Services
  • Experience with multi-industry databases and/or Publications & Subscriptions
  • Research experience, especially generic research, and knowledge of associated products is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Methodical approach with clear attention to detail
  • Team player experience in a global operating environment
