Culinary Team Lead

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Lead to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have experience in managing staff, preparing menus, and coordinating events. They will be expected to work closely with other departments to ensure seamless service and to meet customer satisfaction goals.

  • Lead and motivate the culinary team to achieve exceptional results in food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts that align with the hotel's brand and target market.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned regularly.
  • Collaborate with the sous chef to plan and execute special events, such as weddings and banquets.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 4 years' experience in a senior culinary role or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proven track record of success in leading teams to achieve high performance standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and maintain a calm and professional demeanor.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of hospitality software applications.
