Job Description

As a senior GIS developer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing custom GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions that drive business success.

  • Design and develop innovative GIS applications that meet user requirements and optimize geospatial workflows.
  • Analyze user needs to create and optimize geospatial tools and solutions.
  • Integrate GIS applications with various enterprise systems and APIs to enhance data management and analysis capabilities.
  • Develop Python scripts and tools for data automation, analysis, and processing using ArcPy.
  • Perform complex spatial data modeling, geoprocessing, and analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Maintain and optimize spatial databases such as PostGIS and SQL Server with spatial extensions.
  • Create interactive maps, dashboards, and visualizations using ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or Mapbox.
  • Conduct performance tuning, testing, and documentation of GIS solutions to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Provide expert support and troubleshooting for GIS-related issues and enhancements.
  • Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies, tools, and best practices to drive innovation and improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in GIS development, with expertise in ESRI ArcGIS Suite.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or .NET.
  • Experience working with spatial databases like PostGIS, SQL Server, Oracle Spatial.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/data transformation tools like FME, GDAL.
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks and APIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
