Our company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Global Trade Specialist. As a key member of our import and export team, you will be responsible for managing the documentation and coordination of international shipments.

Responsibilities:

  • Documentation and Coordination: Prepare and submit all necessary documents required for export and import operations, including Export Invoices, Packing Lists, Bill of Lading Drafts, and other related documents.
  • Insurance Certificates: Generate insurance certificates through online portals and ensure that sufficient insured amounts are maintained.
  • Hazardous Cargo: Possess knowledge of handling hazardous cargo, including understanding of various Hazard Classes, Packing Groups, and preparation of Dangerous Goods Declarations.
  • Communication and Co-ordination: Develop strong relationships with Factory, CHA, Forwarding Agents, Transporters, Shipping Lines, and Customers to facilitate smooth communication and coordination.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate Air or Sea freight with forwarders, shipping lines, or CHAs to optimize costs.
  • Document Verification: Check and approve SB Checklists /BOE Checklist/ AWB Draft / BL Draft, etc.
  • Freight Forwarder Coordination: Coordinate with freight forwarders for flight / vessel booking.
  • Courier Shipments: Arrange courier shipments through DHL / FedEx.
  • Letter of Credit Shipments: Possess knowledge of Letter of Credit (LC) Shipments.
  • SCOMET and Narcotics: Ensure regular review and understanding requirements of SCOMET and Narcotics for every shipment.
  • Customer Queries: Resolve queries from export customers promptly and efficiently.
  • Transport Arrangement: Arrange transport for FCL shipments, factory stuffing.
  • COO Application: Apply for Preferential & Non-preferential COOs online.
  • Shipments Management: Ability to handle multiple shipments at a time efficiently.
  • Shipment Documents: Send final shipment documents to customers and keep track of cargo till it is delivered to client.
  • Export Records: Maintain accurate records for all export shipments, including up-to-date status of EGM and RODTEP benefit.
  • RODTEP Scrip Generation: Possess knowledge of RODTEP Scrip generation and other DGFT / ICEGATE applications.
  • Packing Arrangement: Arrange relevant packing considering nature of shipments, especially for dangerous goods.
  • Import/Export Compliance: Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, including HS codes, tariffs, and taxes.
  • Records Maintenance: Maintain accurate records and reports, including import data and compliance documents.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, such as logistics, finance, and procurement, to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay updated on changes in import/export regulations and company policies.
