Job Title: Design Engineer

Overview:

The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed 2D drawings from 3D models, updating existing drawings and documentation, maintaining drawing standards, and assisting engineers in preparing design documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed 2D drawings from 3D models.
  • Update existing drawings and documentation as per design changes.
  • Maintain drawing standards and ensure compliance.
  • Assist engineers in preparing design documentation.

Requirements:

  • Good experience with SolidWorks Drafting and Detailing.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and machining drawings.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and drafting standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of drafting experience using SolidWorks.

Design Engineer Role Summary

Job Description:

The Design Engineer is a crucial member of our team who will create detailed designs, update existing documents, maintain drawing standards, and support the preparation of design documentation.

Key Deliverables:

  • Develop precise 2D drawings from complex 3D models.
  • Enhance existing drawings and documentation based on design revisions.
  • Implement and enforce consistent drawing standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers to refine design documentation.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (part, assembly, and drawing modules).
  • Experience with 2 wheeler design is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal, weldments, and surface modeling.
  • Knowledge of Product Data Management/Product Lifecycle Management tools is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5–7 years of experience in SolidWorks design.
