Role Summary:

We seek a Senior Production Engineer to lead and oversee production operations.

The ideal candidate will have 4–7 years of experience in managing production teams, driving efficiency, ensuring quality and safety standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise shop floor operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, and timely delivery.
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize production activities in line with project and client requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise in sheet metal fabrication, TIG/MIG welding for stainless steel assemblies, assembly, and finishing processes.
  • Oversee resource allocation and optimize utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Drive compliance with lean manufacturing principles, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure robust in-process and final inspections.
  • Analyse production KPIs (output, downtime, rejection, efficiency) and implement corrective actions.
  • Mentor and train production team members on best practices, welding methods, and safety protocols.
  • Initiate and lead process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in production/manufacturing roles, with at least 2+ years in sheet metal fabrication and welding.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD software.
  • Hands-on expertise in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding for stainless steel assemblies.
  • Strong background in resource optimization, EHS, and lean manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Language proficiency: English and Tamil (Mandatory), Hindi (Optional).
