Job Overview:

 

Role Summary:

The storage engineer will be responsible for providing level 2/3 support for storage systems in a mission-critical banking environment.

 

  • Provide level 2/3 support for storage systems (SAN, NAS, ECS or MF DASD + TAPE) in a banking environment.
  • Perform daily health checks, monitoring, and routine tasks using established processes.
  • Acknowledge and triage alerts; log and update incidents in service management software.
  • Execute backups/restores and routine jobs under change control.
  • Escalate to higher-level teams with accurate diagnostics, logs, and metrics.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Participate in disaster recovery/business continuity planning drills to ensure platform readiness.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation, evidence-driven troubleshooting, and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Assume ownership of tasks and maintain readiness for 24x7 support and on-call rotations.

 

Required Skills:

Dell/EMC, NetApp, HPE Storage certifications are preferred. Brocade/Cisco SAN certifications and AWS S3/Object Storage fundamentals are desirable.

 

About the Position:

This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience in storage administration. The ideal candidate should be able to work effectively in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills.
