Senior IT Storage Lead Position

This is a critical role responsible for overseeing enterprise storage infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in storage architecture, security, operations, vendor management, governance, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable, resilient storage solutions (SAN, NAS, object, and cloud storage) that align with current and future business needs.
  • Evaluate new technologies to optimize storage infrastructure and ensure consistency, availability, and compliance across multi-cloud and on-prem deployments.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cybersecurity teams for integrated solutions that meet strict data integrity standards.
  • Lead daily operations of storage platforms, ensuring uptime, reliability, and capacity planning to minimize downtime and maximize system performance.
  • Implement and maintain enterprise-wide backup, archiving, and retention strategies using industry best practices.
  • Monitor performance, availability, and health of storage systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage and optimize hybrid and cloud storage platforms (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob, GCP) to reduce costs and improve scalability.
  • Oversee data migrations, integrations, and lifecycle policies in cloud-based environments to ensure seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of storage-level security: encryption, access control, audit logging, and anomaly detection to protect against cyber threats.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, HPE).
  • In-depth understanding of storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB) and data protection strategies.
  • Familiarity with hybrid and cloud storage solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience implementing compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001) in storage environments.
  • Solid grasp of ITIL practices, risk management, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools is a plus (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible).
