Job Overview

The Supply Chain Manager position is pivotal in orchestrating end-to-end supply chain functions, encompassing production planning and control, logistics, and scrap management.

A Supply Chain Manager oversees strategic planning, procurement, production scheduling, inventory, and logistics to ensure efficient, cost-effective manufacturing operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Coordinate material availability with the production plan to guarantee zero downtime. Collaborate with production, sales, and central planning teams for demand forecasting and capacity planning.
  • Procurement & Supplier Coordination: Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables. Coordinate with vendors to track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and quality compliance.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Monitor stock ageing, non-moving inventory, and initiate timely disposal or consumption plans.
  • Warehousing & Logistics: Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to ensure on-time-in-full deliveries. Manage warehouse operations, space utilization, and storage safety.
  • Cost & Process Optimization: Identify and implement initiatives to reduce logistics, inventory carrying, and procurement costs. Drive process improvements using lean methodologies.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to company policies, EHS norms, and statutory regulations. Conduct regular training and audits to uphold safety and operational standards.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Define clear roles, responsibilities, and development plans for the team.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate degree in Engineering, Science, or Commerce (MBA or PG in Supply Chain preferred). 12-20 years of relevant experience in supply chain or operations management. Strong understanding of production planning, MRP, logistics, and warehousing practices. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
