Program Director Opportunity

Our organization is seeking an experienced Program Director to oversee multiple related projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, timely delivery, and successful stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive governance to achieve business outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Define Program Objectives: Align program objectives, roadmap, and success criteria with organizational strategy.
  • Develop Program Frameworks: Create program charters, business cases, and resource plans.
  • Prioritize Initiatives: Prioritize initiatives and allocate resources across projects.
  • Oversee Multiple Projects: Oversee multiple projects within the program, ensuring milestones, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Track Dependencies: Track dependencies, risks, and issues across projects.
  • Implement Governance: Implement governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms.
  • Drive Methodology Adoption: Drive adoption of Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid methodologies as needed.
  • Engage Stakeholders: Engage with senior business leaders, clients, and sponsors to ensure expectations are managed.
  • Escalation Point: Act as the escalation point for project managers and delivery teams.
  • Provide Reporting: Provide program-level reporting and dashboards to stakeholders.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and guide project managers and cross-functional team leads.
  • Culture Development: Foster collaboration across technical, business, and support teams.
  • Accountability: Drive a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-project programs in IT services or product environments.
  • Strong knowledge of program/project management frameworks (Agile, SAFe, PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.
  • Experience in budgeting, resource planning, and governance.
